We continuously monitor current corporate and social responsibility issues, where we have set targets for improvement, and monitor and evaluate these issues both within our organization and in our partnerships. We have formulated the themes and key points of social and corporate responsibility, which we communicate to our stakeholders and partners in the form of a Code of Conduct and Business Ethics. In our Code of Conduct and Business Ethics, we have defined our ethical standards, with the aim of setting the right example to be followed.
Our resources are regularly reallocated to support the objectives and projects selected by the Board. We provide support to public educational institutions and municipalities. We have a contractual relationship with the Rotary Club of Nyíregyháza, through which we support talent development programs. Within the organization of Carbon Black Kft. and Carbon Black s.r.o., we pay increased attention to the enhancement of workplace safety, regular monitoring and training in this area. A suitable working environment is provided, well-equipped offices, premises and work equipment are available to employees. We provide and operate technological equipment on our sites to ensure health and safety. Respect for each other, personal and professional esteem of our employees is important to us and we have made it a fundamental expectation of our employees. In 2020, we prepared our Code of Ethics, in which we set out the ethical values of the company and its employees, highlighted the importance of environmental protection and social responsibility, and laid down the right communication inside and outside the company.
We have defined our Privacy Policy (FL04 Process Description), which is part of our Integrated Governance System. Through the principles and definitions of the Privacy Policy we want to ensure the protection of the data of our partners and employees. We use our energy resources efficiently, analyze and evaluate the energy we use, and look for ways to reduce our energy consumption. To this end, in 2016 we set up a solar park at the Nyírmada site of Carbon Black Kft.

Human rightsWe respect human rights in all our activities and do not support forced labour. We do not employ children and we do not support business partners who violate this principle. We ensure equal treatment of all our employees, regardless of age, gender, social origin, origin, religion, belief or sexual orientation. We guarantee our employees the right to the highest attainable standard of health; the right to decent working conditions, the right to fair wages and the right to form and join trade unions and to bargain collectively.
Corporate Social ResponsibilityCarbon Black Kft. and Carbon Black s.r.o. respect the principles of the ISO 26000 standard. We base our conduct on this standard, our own internal documents and the principles set out in them, thereby striving to comply with the accepted principles of good conduct both individually and for the organization as a whole. We respect the rule of law and comply with legal obligations.
Our company has drawn up and published a Code of Ethics, which describes the ethical values of the company and its employees, the importance of environmental protection and social responsibility, and good communication within and outside the company. We take into account all applicable labour law requirements. We provide practical opportunities for college students and support their professional preparation and employment. We also reallocate our resources to charitable causes, such as supporting public education institutions, sports clubs and NGOs. We encourage our employees to actively participate in our company's corporate social responsibility activities and provide them with the means to do so.
Safety and healthWe provide a safe and hygienic working environment. We carry out air and noise measurements in the workplace in accordance with legal requirements. We carry out risk analysis and risk assessment for occupational health, fire, health and safety. We inform employees about health and safety risks and preventive measures, employer's and employee's obligations. The person responsible for occupational safety and health provides training in this area at head office and on site, and a record of the training is kept in accordance with our Integrated Management System regulations.
Work clothing and protective equipment are provided for our employees. Carbon Black Kft. and Carbon Black s.r.o. has a contractual relationship with a company doctor, who reviews the health status of our employees once a year and orders the screening tests required by law. In addition to the general medical check-up and lung screening, we ensure that our colleagues working at the Nyírmada site participate in respiratory function tests. Management communicates the requirement for employees to follow all safety practices and procedures. The company assumes the costs of all health and safety measures in the workplace, respecting the principle that they should not be an expense to employees.
Good business practiceWithin the commercial activities of our company, the development and following of good business practices is an important part of our business. We believe that ethics go beyond the legal requirements that companies must meet. Compliance with laws and regulations is the minimum from a business ethics perspective, but beyond that, ensuring good business ethics is about internal and voluntary decisions and behaviour, to which we pay particular attention. Our company's partners, external stakeholders (customers, suppliers, competitors, authorities) and internal stakeholders (owners, managers, employees) all expect fair and honest behaviour. Trust plays an important role in business and is a prerequisite for sustainable successful cooperation. Our business policy is based on our motto: "Carbon Black Kft, your trusted partner." Our waste management complies with legal requirements. We have measures in place to reduce the amount of waste generated by our activities. We look for opportunities and business partners who can recycle packaging waste through their activities or provide a solution through their services to other recycling companies. We train our employees to make them aware that environmental protection is everyone's responsibility. We expect our business partners to adopt a similar responsible attitude and support our efforts in this direction.
Data protectionAs part of our corporate culture, we fully protect the privacy of our employees and partners and the security of confidential business information. It is a strict requirement for our employees and partners to keep confidential and not to disclose to third parties any data and information obtained in the course of the activities of Carbon Black Kft., Carbon Black s.r.o. and their business partners. In order to ensure data management and information security, our employees are familiarized with our data management and data protection policy, the receipt and acknowledgement of which is confirmed by our employees signing a confidentiality declaration.

We have our activities reviewed by external experts from an occupational health and safety, fire protection, health and safety perspective, which is subject to risk analysis and risk assessment, thus ensuring the selection of appropriate protective equipment and protective equipment for the job. Constant attention is paid to the protection of the air quality of the premises and work areas. Extraction equipment and industrial vacuum cleaners are used to collect soot that escapes into the air. We reduce the airborne soot pollution of workers by following the rules set out in the Integrated Management System Workflows.
